If your business is running you – in chaos – think of picking up a handful of sand, spreading your fingers and watching the sand fall back to the ground. Those sand granules falling to the ground are customers and money that you’re losing!
So look at the things that are robbing you of your time. Do you return phone calls and respond to e-mails throughout the day? Do you regularly post on your blog and send out your ezine? Do you periodically check your blog and website to make sure everything is working properly?
Now, think about your follow-up with prospects and customers. Are there holes in your process? Could you be doing a better job? Do you have a good, concise follow-up system? Do clients know what to expect from you (and do you deliver that expectation)?
What tasks do you dread doing? What tasks are you not good at? Take a step back and look at your business, business plan, and business practices. What same old stuff are you doing that you find is not working anymore? What are some things you need to change to stay on the cutting edge of your industry?
